Both are good for different reasons . 1 is the better survival horror game , 2 is the better game. Both are great. If I had too choose I prefer 2 over 1; TEW1 on AKUMU was just crazy frustrating and unfair - whereas 2 on Classic always felt justifiably tough. I want a tough challenge but when I was being killed in TEW1 by sparks from an.. The Evil Within 2 was way better for me. It's an actual effective horror game with great scared that really scared the shit out of me in a few spots. The Evil Within 1 just felt like another Resident Evil 4 inspired action-horror game with almost no horror. I found 1 much, much scarier.

86. Evil Within 2. 53.01%. 97. This poll is now closed. It's really a wash for me. The 2 games are really different and each has strengths over the other one. I think EW2 took a step back in terms environments and overall horror atmosphere. EW1 while not really a scary game, was very unsettling and I felt tense and on edge throughout the game.. First game has too many baddies with guns and has lazy level design. It just drops the ball half-way through. The second game does a far better job with enemy types and has silent hill-esque level design which is awesome. I'd say the first one if I had to guess.
